PANAJI: Chief minister Pramod Sawant on Monday asked BITS Pilani, KK Birla Goa Campus to collaborate with the state government to help improve output in the education sector and to provide technological innovation in governance. "BITS Goa has extended its initiatives to many schools and colleges in Goa. Such initiatives are important in development scientific temper and innovative enterprises among the youth. The Prime Minister has emphasised that innovation and research should transform from the way or working and way of living among our youth. For this we require social and institutional support...I invite BITS Pilani to collaborate with Goa government to optimise the output of the education sector and to enhance the use of the technology in the good governance initiatives," said Sawant. He said there is a huge scope for mutual collaboration between the state government and BITS Pilani Goa campus. Sawant was speaking after inaugurating the one-week STUTI workshop organised by BITS Pilani Goa Campus in collaboration with Shivaji University, Kolhapur and supported by department of science and technology, government of India. Fifty per cent of the participants in the programme are from Goa.
