Goa: 2 get jail for prostitution activities

COLVA: Additional sessions judge Pooja Kavlekar on Monday sentenced Suraj Sharma alias Saramodh to eight years imprisonment and his co-worker Santosh Sonawane to three years imprisonment under the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, for running prostitution activities in a massage parlour in Colva in 2021. The prosecution’s case was that Sharma along with Santosh, who was the manager of a massage parlour at Colva, carried out prostitution activities on the premises that was taken on leave and licence basis. Both the accused were apprehended at the time of the raid along with the decoy customer and the victims.
