Margao: PWD minister Nilesh Cabral on Sunday told BJP karyakartas from Margao to bring to his notice any hardships faced by them on account of any political reasons and assured to help resolve them. “Consider me as your MLA and bring to my notice any hardships faced by you,” he told party workers when a karyakarta complained to him about instances of “political targeting” in Margao with regards to issues concerning PWD. After his address at the party’s Garib Kalyan programme in Margao to commemorate eight years of the Modi government, Cabral threw open the forum for party workers to raise questions. He assured them of his cooperation in addressing the issues raised by them. Earlier in his address, Cabral said that a significant proportion of the state’s population benefits from the free water scheme of the state government, even as he urged party workers to prevail upon the public to consume water judiciously in order to come under the free water bracket. The Curchorem MLA further said that the fast track infrastructural development being witnessed across the country was made possible on account of “a stable leadership, a determined leadership, and a leadership with a difference” provided by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “It’s because of Modi’s leadership that India has been able to restore its recognition from big nations. The made in India, made by India and made of India initiatives will lead to the robust growth of India’s economy,” Cabral said. Former deputy chief minister Chandrakant ‘Babu’ Kavlekar, speaking on the occasion, said that the government was working on the principles of sarvodaya (all round development) and antyodaya (welfare of the last man), and that the various welfare schemes operated by the government reflected its vision for people’s welfare. He informed that 9,200 farmers of Goa recently received their 11th installment of Kissan Sanman Nidhi. BJP general secretary Narendra Sawaikar and Navelim MLA Ulhas Tuyekar also spoke on the occasion
