Panaji: Chief minister Pramod Sawant on Thursday removed Michael Lobo, IAS, as director of the vigilance department inviting flak from the opposition.In an order issued by the personnel department, the government appointed Amarsen Rane as the director of vigilance department.D’Souza has been posted as director (training) of Goa Institute of Public Administration and Rural Development (GIPARD). He was holding additional charge as GIPARD director.Rane will have additional charge of secretary, Goa Human Rights Commission.“Too vigilant for @goacm’s Liking? Is the abrupt transfer of vigilance director Michael D’Souza done because he is too watchful and alert to the government’s dubious activities?” asked GFP president Vijai Sardesai.Meanwhile, secretary (education) Ravi Dhawan and commissioner of sales tax Ruchika Katyal will be relieved from the Goa state administration from September 30 according to an order issued by the personnel department.The two IAS officers have been transferred to Dadra and Nagar Haveli.Sreekanth T has been posted as resident commissioner at Goa Sadan, New Delhi.
